Precision Machining Kits / Shipments

PnJ Machining is fluent in shipping kits or groups of parts to our customer for contract machining and sub contract machining. This is accomplished in several ways according to our customer demands.

We currently ship several kits of exactly the same parts on a monthly basis. One particular kit parts range from 30 to 80 inch extruded machine parts in shipment quantities of 31 to 41 parts. The product is shipped in assembly and detail form with the same kit components. PnJ also ships a kit cart which is group of part numbers that is shipped from a spreadsheet and varies with each delivery. The spreadsheet is managed to determine what product is delivered and for evaluating future requirements.

Min/Max is a system where PnJ logs into a customer’s inventory system and maintains part quantities based on predetermined inventory range. For example; 15-35 indicates no less than 15 and no more than 35 parts for inventory. This also requires future forecasting to determine increases or reductions in product demand. All of these systems save us and our customers’ money thru a variety of ways. Minimizing PO management is a very big time saver with the dynamics of short flow production.  (JIT) adjustments on a single PO, versus 31-41 individual POs’ being adjusted for delivery saves time and effort. Kits also save on shipping crate cost due to reusable containers. Reduction in customer inventory with kits coming in monthly shipments, there is no need to carry inventory on 31-41 part numbers, reducing the management of our customers’ inventory.

Packing slips can be designed to meet your requirements. We have a standard Certificate of Conformance (C of C) statement on ever Packing Slip at PnJ, as well as a separate C of C that can list certification numbers and drawing used, depending of customer requirements. Complete cert packets are shipped to customers as well as raw material, special processors certs and special testing certs.  We will design our out-put based on your requirements.

PnJ precision machining services ships products all over the world on a weekly basis. Shipments outside the Unites States are nothing new to us. We ship to Canada, Korea, Norway, South Africa, South America, and Japan. PnJ began preparations for a Global marketplace when we saw changes in our industry. Some product is shipped direct. Some other customers use a third party shipping company. We will create our shipping requirements based on your needs.
